Glad to hear you are doing well. But remember, you may feel yucky from the caffeine withdraw. My doctor told me to come down off the caffeine slowly and not all at once. It is a drug your bidy is addicted to and you want to take it slow. Good luck.

Thank you for all your words of encouragement. To think all this time I was actually doing things to increase my panic and anxiety! I feel so foolish that I did not realize this. Caffeine is SO bad for the body in so many ways, I was actually putting gasoline on an open flame. I had a pretty good day guys, I got a little shaky in the afternoon but not a full blown panic and I did NOT cry today, it feels SO good to have a good day after all this time and yes I had a big steak for dinner then took a walk with my son, I am so grateful to GOd for a decent day. You guys are great! I wish I could "bottle" this day for me and everyone! God bless, thanks, Debbie.

I have changed my diet somewhat and have noticed a difference. Make it a point to drink 64oz of water every day and eat at least two fruits and three veggies every day. Caffeine does a number on your system! If you drink an 8oz cup of coffee, you have to drink 16oz of water to replace the fluids it sucks out. It sounds to me with all the coffee you drink, that you probably dehydrate a lot without knowing it. I know with me, if I am dehydrated or hungry, my symptoms are always worse! It sounds to me like the place to start on your road to recovery is to start with your diet. Try not to drink more than 2 cups of coffee a day - eat your fruits and veggies - drink water - eat whole wheat breads and grains. And of course, keep up the iron by eating meat. I know it's hard to do every day (most days I'm struggling with this myself), but try to keep a balanced diet. I think you will notice a difference. If I make an effort to be sure to do this every day, I always start feeling better. Not 100%, but certainly better. I still have panic and anxiety, but when I'm taking care of my health, it's not AS bad. It's there, but not as extreme. I'm glad your therapist pointed this out to you! I hope you make the diet changes you need and start feeling better!

Jeez, thats why you are having all the burning! Having a good diet really will make you feel better. Since I am pregnant, I can't have a lot of caffeine, just one or two a day. So what I do is mix the regular and some decaf together. Then I feel like I am getting enough coffee but not getting to much caffeine. This is a good way to come down on the caffeine. I know what you mean about the headaches though. I get them too. Try to eat more too! A change in diet will help you alot.

DEBBI!!! We are on the same diet!! AAACCCKK!!! Actually, Yes. I have made some real diet changes and it has helped with the panic/anxiety. I changed my coffee habits to 1 1/2 in the mornings only and I drink the 1/2 caffene type of coffee. If I drink regular coffee now, my heart beats so hard it hurts! I use to drink Starbucks every day, but no more. It gave me major chest pain. No ACID juice at all!!! It will tear your gut up. I make a point now to eat breakfast. Usually something light but I force myself to eat. My doctor told me to drink a TON of water every day and I started that and surprisingly I feel a lot better with all the water. She said my body was major dehydrated and that can cause all types of symptoms. Change your diet, cut out the caffene but prepare for some headaches because of the withdrawl.

I too drink wayyy to much coffee, even more then you are discribing. I hope you do eat the steak and get feeling better! God Bless, Melodie

I just had my Therapist appt. She was stunned to learn that I drink 4-5 18 oz styofoam cups of coffee everyday, and drink a 12 oz orange juice and only eat once a day {dinner} she thinks that is making the depression and panic worse. I never thought that was the cause, she said its not the whole thing that I would have panic probably anyway, but that its making it worse, that when the caffiene wears off my blood surgar plummets and I crash into a deep tired depression. I will try anything to get well and recover, are those habits I listed above bad? I guess they are. I woke up today feeling SO tired and depressed, I actually drank the coffee to feel more wired, I wonder if its causing the diareaha {can never spell that right} and burning lower stomach pain, I am so sick of being sick. Smoking, not eating right, orange juice {acid} excessive caffiene can NOT be good for someone like me with panic and anxiety, I am willing to try anything because now I am getting depression spells because its so bad and I am not getting better, has any noticed too much coffee and not eating much makes them worse?? THe withdrawal from the Zoloft is going rough, I am going to try to eat a big fat steak tonight and get my iron and protien up! PLease wish me luck and say some prayers, I so much want to feel better again, its effecting my son and that is so terrible to know, I cut back on coffee today just 2 cups instead of 5, I have a headache but I can live with it, any opinions or advice I would be grateful.
