Hang in there Wanda - you're not alone.  Everyone here understands you're feeling really rough, it's not an easy process and the addiction will tell you a million ways why you should light up.  Every time you hear from old nic, stop by here and we'll remind you why you should kick him in the ash and stick to your quit.

Dig deep and look for the thing that keeps you strong.  It may be hiding behind what you allow to make you weak.  Push it aside and keep going - we're all rooting for you.

Wow, you are almost through Hell Week!  You are doing great!  Just keep fighting!

You won't cave.  Be sure you keep your emergency coping plan close.

Mark your cravings in your cravings diary and soon you will see the intensity and duration of your craves decrease overtime.

Wanda, the sixth day was the worst for me. Remember: This too shall pass. Every time you beat the demon back it gets weaker. Soon it will lose its power over you and most of it desire to annoy you and will only occasionally try get you to be its friend again. What a horrible friend!  Cancers and COPD.

Wanda, you can do this.  Go take a nice long bath or shower.  Then go to bed early!  Tomorrow morning find something nice to do for yourself!  You're approaching 1 smoke free week!  You deserve a reward!  Tell the nicodemon that he no longer controls your life!

You are doing so great, Wanda.  The first 5 days are past.  Dig in now and stay focused.  Review the My Program and prepare for the craves......lots of water and diversions.  Read, post, sleep.  Do whatever you need to keep your momentum moving forward.  You're on a roll!!!

Keep the Quit,

Dave

Hang on and say no, no, no.  I quit in April and smoked on my 85th day.  Started a quit again 7/22.  You will REGRET, please read and post and wait for 5 responses.  Kick Ash and don't give in to the nicodemon.
Don't be scared or have fear of giving in because the crave/urge will pass.
Remember there is NO advantage to giving in.   What are the benefits of smoking?  Absolutely nothing!!!!
You quit 7/19 and I started a quit 7/22 - please don't let me catch up with you - always stay ahead of me, please.
