Hi Bonnie,

Did you find your dogs helped you stay distracted in your quit?

Oh how cute, and yes puppies are a handful.. I have minature pinscchers.. (terrier group) you need to establissh that You are the dominant one. ( our oldest male still has to get the last word in if you are correcting him).

Well he will keep you busy.. playing games, and maybe some obedience classes..

OMG PB...Boo Boo is adorable!!!!!!

I also know that beagle pups can be very challenging.  I used to wear rubber boots to do the dishes, because the first beagle we ever had like nipping heels and ankles whenever someone was doing the dishes.  That was before we ever had a dishwasher!

I never attempted to quit smoking when our beagles were pups.  I think I might have failed miserably!!!lol

But I know I could never be without dogs.  They give so much love.

So enjoy Boo Boo to the fullest!!!!!!

Well Ashley, so far Brutus goes, he has been a big source of stress in my life, so he hasn't helped my quit at all. Well maybe he has, maybe I can deal with stress better than I used too because I've had lots of practice. Don't get me wrong, he has been the source of laughter, a few times, and in the morning, when he still has those big loogies in his eyes, he is very loving and thats when we do our bonding. But he has some issues, like coming up behind us and snatching things out of our hands and running. You cannot drop anything around him or he is eating it. He has that "head bobbing syndrome", and is now starting to chase imaginary flies, which also comes with that syndrome. He still pees in the house sometimes, and won't go outside unless you walk out first. He is the most STUBBORN animal I have ever had, but I still love him, and occasionally he still gets his frozen vanilla yogurt with blueberry honey drizzled over top, and spoon fed too! I think we've created a monster.

Hey PB,

English Bulldog puppies are terrible!  I used to have one. They calm down when they get older.  It is also really important to show dominance. But sorry off topic

How has your little (or big) reward helped you stay smoke free?

Members, how have your animals helped you stay quit?
