Gimm - you go girl!  Keep fighting and you'll do great.  It is hard, and it does suck sometimes but for the most part, it's not so bad if you keep the goal in mind at all time!

Thanks everyone!  Having some major cravings today.  Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.  Thanks for the gift Janet!!!
It's not been the easiest week.  I've have a change this week, I was working part time, now I'm almost full time. I think thats why I've wanted to smoke more this week.  It was easier being home most of the time. lol (less triggers, less stress)  I'll be working like this for another 6 weeks probably.  Not going to let this make me lose my quit, I can't go thru this again!! lol
NO WAY!   I am very proud of my quit.  This is by far the longest that i've ever been quit before. I've quit to many times to count over the years. I actually have some cigs left.  A pack and half put up.  I know I know, most will say get rid of them, but it gives me comfort just knowing i have some.  I've always hated that feeling when you run out! lol...........I eventually plan on throwing them out.  I want to apologize to all the new comers and the folks that is currently going thru what i am. I haven't been as supportative as I wanted to be.  It's just that I'm struggling very hard myself to hold on to this quit and I don't really know what to say that will make you feel better. I'll try to do better!!!  Best wishes everyone!

Gimm - check our your profile - I sent you a little something.  Be strong and be proud!  You've made it through Hell Week and Heck Week and 30 days!  You know how hard those were to accomplish, yet you did it.  Every now and then, you will get a strong craving that will make you question yourself and your quit - remember why you want to quit and remind yourself every day - N.O.P.E. - you want this quit, you have to make yourself keep it.  You can do it!  Stay strong and be proud...you've done SO AWESOME!!
Someone is always here anytime we need them and I urge you to spend as much time on here as you need to get you through those stupid cravings.

Vent away Gimm!

I am sorry you are having a rough day but Cristinas is so right, look at those stats!  You are doing awesome!  Just keep going.

Try not to compare yourself to others we are all individuals and are effected by smoking and the quit differently.  You are so addicted but you still made it to 40 days! I know you have it in you to beat this addiction!

Knowing how hard it is for you to quit, how do you think it will feel a year from now when you are still quit?

Don't pay Russian Roulette, Gimm. You can go from healthy to dead pretty fast. Because of hormones and the fact that we are just built differently, women (I've read) struggle more when quitting smoking. Plus, the only valid comparison is between this one and your last one. Never compare yourself to someone else, because you really don't know their circumstances. Just because your husband didn't complain doesn't mean he didn't feel the withdrawal nor ever thought about smoking or cigarettes.

Isn't it funny, how you go a few days and its great. Then out of the blue u crave a smoke again!! My mouth is sore from chewing the gum again.  I'm snacking like crazy.  Even hurts to eat the snacks! lol   Sitting here thinking, why can't my quit be like my hubbys.  He's been quit 5 years now.  He used patches for two days and that was it! Never seemed to crave one, or have any withdrawals.  Never talked about it, just quit!  I on other hand have been totally different than that! lol  I have used every NRT on the market, plus chantix and zyban in the past. My doc said i was the most addicted to nicotine, that he had ever seen.  So I tired everything and failed repeatly.  I want to quit while im still healthy.  I don't even have a smokers cough and never have.  I take no medications (except NRTs) lol   I just feel like its time for me to quit but its sooooooooo hard. My dad is 77 and smokes and is healthy as a horse!  He takes no medications either.  I guess he is one the lucky ones!!  I'm afraid to take that gamble, so I'm quitting. Slowly, surely, painfully!!!  Just had one of those days and needed to vent! lol
