Feather, you are doing awesome! You're at the one week mark, which means Hell Week is history! You're starting Heck Week. I just read in another posting about keeping your eye on the prize. I think Brenda said that. I like that idea! And by taking it one day at a time, you can see your progression on becoming a non-smoker! And that is a wonderful prize!!! CONGRATULATIONS on your success!

Thank you for responding - yes, my doctor knows about my panic attacks and prescribed Xanax to take, which I hate the idea of but have just for emergencies. Quitting smoking is THE most important thing to me right now and I am willing to suffer through it!!

I was so stressed out today from meeting with old friends that I haven't seen in over 20 years - it was so depressing that they haven't changed at all (in their substance abuse) and I definitely did not fit in. Today my HELL WEEK IS OVER!!! I did make it but it is seriously the hardest thing I have ever done. I am having serious panic attacks, etc. Tonight I took a hot bath and doing some yoga and deep breathing.
