Hi Jessica
Everyone is correct, being tense (sometimes you might not even be aware that you are sitting or standing with your entire body or certain muscles tensed) will increase the "shakes".
For me the harder I try to stop my shakey hands, the more they shake. I try my best to just not worry about it and accept for the time being I will have shakey hands.
Try to notice how you are breathing also, usually upper chest breathing is rapid, try to find some breath exercises to do that are "belly breaths". Pratice these everyday and it will slowly alter your breath pattern and make you feel more calm, less anxious.
Adrenlin release when we are nervous and anxious makes people shakey. This will last until the adrenalin wears off the organs in your body.
Try the breathing, meditation and try not to worry (hard to do I know) about the shakes, its just another symptom of anxiety and is totally harmless.
Hi. Its all part of the panic nonsense. i feel like that everyday, along with feeling dizzy and lightheaded. thats a constant symptom for me. sometimes i just want to stay home for the fear ill pass out in a store or wherever i am. my therapsist told me if your body is all tense(from constant panic), your not getting enough air to the head, and therefore the dizzyness occurs. try to get a massage to relieve some tension. it works great!
Jessica,
Shakiness is one of my main problems next to the dizziness and light headedness, i feel shaky almost all the day, sometimes very feasible and i can see my legs shaking, my whole body anstable, and many times i imagine that i will end up on the floor, then i start to panic, its to do with the anxiety and nervousness but i wish it could go away forever. I pray to ALLAH to save us from these troubles.
Lil
my medication makes me shaky. In fact, it is a combination of the anxiety and meds. Every doctor visit she ask me to hold out my hands so she can see at what level they are shaking.
