Day Madness, Night Calm?

Debbi You are asking for a diagnosis without giving us the benefit of the symptoms. By asking us to explain why you are more together at night than the day without knowing what is different in your life at those times its hard to say I would strongly suggest that you start keeping a journal, you can just make entries at night, but I have found that writing in it whenever I am upset, anxious, panicky has helped me ALOT to sort thru all the stuff and find out what is really triggering my anxiety. Sometimes it will take more than a few days of journal notes to point out what your thoughts are that might be triggering your anxiety. I take my journal with me to my therapy too so I can discuss things with my Doc too.

People just don't understand what it is like to have this anxiety. Lucky for them, huh?

Thank you for your replies, I was taking a nap, I am exhausted from these daily panic attacks that I fear I have sunk into some depression, I can barely function or sleep or eat, my best friend called me "weak" "pathetic" and said "panic is not real its all in my mind" I guess she is not a friend anymore after I hung up on her, I cannot believe she would kick me when I am down like that. She said to get professional help what the heck does she think I am doing I see a nurse-practioner once every six weeks for my meds {which do not work but she will not change} and I started to see a therapist. I am trying my best. I am going to sleep for awhile, my only escape from the panic. I am very hurt what my friend said, she said she just put in words what every one is thinking, God that hurt so bad. Please send prayers, Debbie.

Try to think of what is the difference between the night and day for you. Do you feel extra pressure during the day that isn't there at night, like your husband or son? Maybe you feel more pressure to function when they are awake. I think that keeping a journal could help. When you feel anxious during the day, write down what happened right before it. Atleast you have some relief at night. Good luck.

I guess I would like someone to tell me why in the dead of the night am I better, when the sun goes down its better and around midnight I have No panic or depression, I can eat and function. During the day {like now} I am shaky and panicky. I am a little better today than other days, I did not take the Zoloft yet today and I notice I not as bad, still shaky, I am grateful for the reprieve from the panic at night, but unfortunatly the world runs during the day, I guess I should be happy at least I have some relief from it, I would rather feel good during the day too! Does anyone else feel like this?? Right now I feel like I am on the verge of a shaky panic, my lower tummy is burning, Everyday I wait till night to feel better, this is not good just to go out at night like some kind of vampire. Right now I cannot wait till night so I can feel somewhat normal, I am never panic-free but the symptoms do decrease at night, if I could just find a way to have that feeling during the day! When my son needs me. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated. Thank you so much, Debbie.
