Grace, That is SO wonderful about the Lexapro! I have heard so many good things about it, my son's basketball coach is on it and swears by it. I tried it a year ago after I came off the Paxil, had some side effects then my nurse put me on Zoloft, I just wonder if the side effects I thought were from Lexapro were really in fact withdrawal from Paxil, I see my nurse Tuesday, I am going to plead with her to put me back on Paxil, I would rather gain some weight than feel like this, Zoloft is not working for me you are right. DO you also take a benzo? I was not sure. Again I am so pleased the Lexapro is working so great, I love to hear those things when people are doing better! Debbie.

Hi bygrace, Thanks for the info, I'm on Effexor XR, and that is a SSRI as well. Thanks again, Ruby...... :)

It is just one of those SSRI (I think that is right) like Zoloft and others. The dosage has been a true live change for me and it is working so good. It is a typicpal anti-depressant/anxiety RX.

Hi bygrace, Can you please tell me what Lexapro is? And it's great to see you are feeling better. I'm happy for you. Ruby...... :)

You guys know I mentioned I was taking 10mg of Lexapro. It was just taking the edge off but I could easily fall into a full blown panic attack. In fact i was almost daily. Well, she raised it to 20mg and I was afraid to try the extra, but after days of feeling like I wanted to run and scream I did it. It has been 3 days and not a SINGLE panic even emotion. Nothing. Yesterday I was put in several situations that normally would cause me to freak. Nothing. I just felt very calm and was like.."so what" LOL! Big try last night: I had a nice big cup of Starbucks (my fav. but I can not drink it anymore due to my anxiety) and I did not have a single panic/anxiety thought from the caffeine. Nothing.
