HoI was watching Spanish TV last year( a quiz show) and the question was to provide a Spanish ladies name without an 'A' in it,Answer Mercedes!!

SO you are very rare and need to become a protected species .

Protected species are not allowed to smoke right???

Seriously I am an expert and cutting down just doesnt work you just spend time looking forward to and counting hte minute to your next smoke.

Stopping is painful for some(was for me) but its the only way HONESTLY!!
Will be in Javea later in the year and dont want to smell any of your snoke when I land at Alicante OK??

Dear Breane
Thank you for your help.I think I tried but I haven´t seen anything happennig.
I am leaving for a few days, not the fight!  the computer .The migraines and the pain in my back are killing me so I´ll try not to use the computer for a few days ,to see if I can´t aleviate them a bit. In a week I will try to come back and tell you how I´m doing with the quitting.Thank you and don´t forget me

Although the weekends may be harder for you, knowing that these times can be a trigger for you is an important part of your quit. By identifying your triggers you can start to prepare quit strategies that will get you through these times.

Members, any suggestions for maria on what she can do to prepare for the weekend? How did you cope when the cravings became stronger during these times?

Stay strong maria, you can and will get through this!

Thank you,Sarah, for your quick responnse, for yor welcome and support.I haven´t answered before because I´m not quite sure how to do it.It seems it has worked  but I can´t remember how I ve reached this place, so if you would be so kind as to show me the way. Yesterday I was able to reduce the amount in 5 cigarettes but I´m not sure I will be able to reduce so much today.I cannot have candies because during the time I have been trying to smoke I have put on  about five kilos and I cannot do much exercise because of the migraines. Quitting smoking is easier during the week because I have lots of things to do  and on Sundays because if it doesn´t rain I go walking with my husband_about thirty kilometres-(my region is quite flat). I usually run during the week and go to yoga classes but as I have said before, the migraines and my neck are hurting so much that I can only go to yoga.I´m very much afraid of the weekend because it is going to rain and and I can only cope with the analgesics.(next week Ill have a Scanner and EMG for the carpian tunnel syndrome, so I hope  the doctors will find a solution and i will be free from pain).so please tell me something  strong to avoid smoking.I´ll pray and try not to do it. and I won´t use it as an excuse!

HELLO Sparky: thanks for your welcome and support.yOU ARE RIGHT.sOMETIMES IT IS MORE A QUESTION OF wanting to quit more than you want to smoke.I´m in the process of getting ready and reducing the amount. Yesterday I went from 21 to sixteen, today´Im afraid I won´t be able to reduce so much but my objective is that at least it is less than yesterday. Excuse muy english, sometimes I even get lost in Spanish. kisses
