Hi PB,

I'm sorry to hear that you were ill and dealing with such a stressful situation. You should be very proud of the fact that you did not give into temptation to smoke through the stress............we are proud of your strength and resolve to maintain your quit!

It seems for many that the second week is more challenging than the first. The demon is always lurking..........so always keep your guard up!

Keep up the great work and hope the rest of the week is better for you.

PB wow what a nightmare with the stint, and oh the lack of sleep sounds so stressful for you on top of everything else you got going on there. But, your strength and resolve to beat the demon down just astounds me. I am full of admiration for you because some folks would have buckled under that duress but you didn't and thats so commendable.
PB if you can ride above all this then I think you are owning your quit, I think your demon has finally met his match! I wish you sleep and lots of it, and a very speedy recovery-

I should have came here yesterday, but I felt so bad I couldn't. I was ill all day, and it was by far my worst day when it comes to my quit. Today has been no better, the stint came out this morning, lets just say what normally is a 30 second procedure turned into a 7 minute nightmare. Apparently a blood clot on the end of it was camouflaging it and he couldn't see it. But it is finally out. No sleep for the last 2 nights, maybe 2 hours each night. Waking up with dry mouth, sweaty, and thoughts racing. Its strange that my struggles would start on day 12 and 13. I don't want to alarm anyone, I'm not smoking nor am I going to, but I find it odd that the junkie waited so long to come alive. Maybe it thought it was going to out smart me and catch me off guard. They're good at that. But N.O.P.E., not me, not today, not tomorrow, never again. I feel empowered now just setting and writing this. I think this is why all the great folks using this site are so successful, because we sit and write about our addiction, which makes us aware, and educates us not only about ourselves, but about the addiction in whole. I feel alot better now. Now I just hope sleep will come tonight, I know I need it. Heck Week is almost over..wooohoooo.
