I would have to agree with the 3 week thing. I found that my panic got worse in the first couple weeks but once the Paxil kicked in after the 3 weeks I felt better. I only stayed on it for a few months because I didn't like the way it made me feel. I would urge you to try something else, ANYTHING else. It's addictive and chances are it won't help you all that much. My doctor gave me buspirone, it's not habit forming - ask your doctor about it, it might be a good alternative.
I started paxil back in 1997 and it took me around 3 weeks to get feeling a lot better on it. I had to get past the side effects first. Unfortunately, it seems my Paxil after 8 years has stopped working and now is the hardest part of all. Finding a way to get off it. I hear it's the hardest drug to get off of. I'm scared!
Karie,
Everyone's body is different and medications will affect you differently. Please talk to you doctor or pharmacist regarding dosages and side effects. They can be very reliable resources.
Hope this helps,
Josie

I have been on 10 mg of Paxil for 1 week, I know it doesn't work that fast, but how much longer do you think I will have to wait till I feel a little better?
Thanks!
Karie
