Bre, Just wanted to tell you that some of us don't think the withdrawal from nicotine ends in just a week. Even though you do not have nicotine in your system you still have receptors that are hungry for nicotine so there still can be withdrawal symptoms that are not psychological. There is lots of debate on that but aside all of this quitting is very doable because you are taking it hour by hour day by day, and it does get better over time for sure. I was just like you in the first week where I would be uncomfortable and it would just appear without notice. I then would just took a deep breath came here to talk about it, and if need be get out of the house (even if it's rain or snow) and walk around until the crave disappeared. As long as I distracted myself just long enough things got better. I became the ultimate spoiler of myself to make sure all my needs were taken care of. Kinda like your little puppy friend below your name. Nothing is that important to ruin your quit. Your doing great and we are determined to see another 17th quitter get on the list. Hell Week is almost in the past. NOPE and HALT at all times. Ron

Just wanted to let those who have been so supportive that I am still smoke free.
I almost feel as if the past two days were harder than the first two because the big time cravings come in waves and surprise me instead of just being there all the time.
I am feeling pretty good today but its really off and on. I'll be feeling good and be fine and then I'll have a massive craving and I am miserable for a couple hours.
I know the nicotine is out of my system now and in some ways that makes it more frustrating knowing its in my head.
I am also really proud of myself. I never went more than 4 hours trying to quit in the past and I've already seen and felt some improvements, such as the bags under my eyes which I thought were permanent disappearing. So I have a lot keeping me going.
Giving in isn't really an option for me at this point no matter how bad it gets.
Thanks again for all the support,
Bre
