Sprite, congratulations on 24 days smoke free!  What a wonderful gift you are giving your baby!  Please make sure you have a reward system in place to celebrate the milestones you are reaching.  I echo the sentiment below that this shouldn't just be a 9 month quit, this needs to be a life long quit so you are always there for your baby and that you always smell good!  We're all rooting for your continued success!

Sprite - I went to a cookout the other day and stood next to all the smokers a few times just to get that second hand.  But today I was at a doctor's appointment and a man walked in who reeked, I mean reeked of smoke.  And I just shook my head that I could ever have smelled like that.  When you think about it, would we have ever let ourselves walk around with that kind of smell if it was just normal body odor that made us stink?  Of course not!

You're doing a great job!  Congrats on your 24 days!  Be proud and hang tough!!!
Angie

You are doing great at 24 days.  Yes, I have walked by the smokers and sometimes slowing down just a little so I could get a quick smell.  Like MM said you are giving your unborn child a wonderful gift and more importantly you are giving yourself a wonderful gift and a good chance to be around for a long time.

Keep the Quit

Good for you for quitting.  What a wonderful gift to give your newborn.  Make sure you don't light up after delivery---your baby needs you around for a long time to come; you will smell so nice for him/her; and you won't have the worry about second hand smoke.
Congratulations on 24 days smoke-free!  That's great!

After months of "I'm going to quit soon/tomorrow/next week", I quit the second I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of January.

I'm having some super cravings lately though!  Every time I walk past a smoker I find myself inhaling and wishing I could have one...I don't plan on having one, but I still feel like I would LIKE one...or two...(I know I could never "just have one" without being right back at it).

Thank you for listening.  I just wanted to type it out and get past the crave.
