Next Wednesday (10/22/08) will be my 1 year anniversary of being free from this addiction.  Although next Wednesday will be special, everyday that I do not smoke is special and cause for a celebration.  I am a lot healthier now, I am able to spend more time with the family and just more time to live life.  Oh yeah, the extra money is great too.  I have this confidence now that I've never had before.
A lot of you may not know me since I do not post much, but LIFE got in the way.  In the beginning of my quit, I was constantly on this site reading and learning from those who have successfully quit.  But eventually, I felt like it was time to move on......  Life must go on........ Please do not take this as a negative as everyone's quit is different.  I am forever greatful for this site, w/o SSC, my quit may not have been successful.

For the newbies - it may not seem like it now, but it does get better do whatever it takes to not smoke that next cigarrette and soon enough, you will be one of the many folks who have freed themselves from this addiction.

For the oldbies and especially the Octobreathers (Goofy, I see you're still on this site offering great advice and support Thank you)-  Keep your resolve, don't take a single puff and  make a pledge every morning to not smoke today and just as important, congratulate yourself @ bedtime for another successfull day.

Note to self - you are one cigarette away from becoming a full-fledge smoker!!!!!
