Jay, welcome. Is'nt it just amazing how a mental issue can actually effect you so greatly physically??? I also get the warm flush red face and dizzy and all that you described. I am sorry you are here in one way, but glad you found it for support!

Jay, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When youre finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This may better assess the situation for everyone involved We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! hey everyone. my name is jay. im 19 years old. ive been going to the hospital every now and then thinking i was going to have a heart attack or stroke. and last week i went two days in a row. i ended up talkin to the hospital psych and she diagnosed me with panic disorder. I just came on here to share some of my experiences and see if anyone has had similar situtions. The first time it happened was about a year and a half ago. it was very overwhelming and scary. from there i went to a cardiologist and after numerous tests i got a clean bill of health. ever since then every month after that i would feel fine for a while then it would come back. i would start thinking and then it would escalate from there and i would go to the hospital. but lately they ve been happening very regualary. when i have them i get light headed, my face is really hot, my cheeks are bright red, my heart just pounds,my chest gets tight and i have blurry vision. for the past week ive had bad headaches, blurry vision( not like double vision but i can notice a change), and im always tired( i work anywhere from 10 to 12 hours a day but ive noticed its been a lot more lately). i was just wondering if this CBT stuff helps out. im pretty young and i got a whole life ahead of me and i dont want to keep on having this constant fear all the time. i want to get rid of it or be able to cope and live a normal life where i can have fun and party without having constant fear. I also want to be able to do it without the use of meds. i just wanted to share my sitation and ask if any of you can give me advice. thanks alot
