Day 2 Feeling Great!

16 years ago 0 706 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I am so glad to hear that you are having a great day!!! There will be good and bad, but remember that the bad gets fewer and fewer... don't sit and worry about what may come, enjoy the day!!! Just keep those coping skills in mind just in case. Some have much easier quits that others for some reason... maybe yours is going to be an easier one. I know with that postive attitude you have that you are going to do great!!! Ok Maybe you don't need a blow by blow of my day. But I went to lunch. I listened to a different radio station then usual and drove to lunch, a little crave but it passed quickly and after lunch a very little crave so I chewed some gum and the crave passed. I hope everyday is this easy. I know I'm dreaming but stranger things have happened. So far even if this is only my second day it has been my best. Yesterday was horrible. I just hope I don't crash and burn. But I'm going to hang in there no matter what. This is my 5th or 6th time trying to quit. I am tired of trying and I will suceed this time. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/29/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20 Amount Saved: $1.50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 24 Seconds: 11

Beckylynn, Fantastic attitude! Keep positive and keep a journal or use your cravings diary to track your moods. Changing your routine is a great way to help avoid cravings. Try to change your routine at times when you were most likely to have a cigarette; first thing in the morning, after meals, before bed. Soon you will be comfortable in your new routine and the cravings will diminish. Brenna, Bilingual Health Educator

This morning instead of walking outside to have a cigarette, I took my coffee and went outside and did a little deep breathing. That fresh air was great and I just stopped to watch the birds and nature around me. It was wonderful. Don't let smoking cloud your day, you just might miss something wonderful. Be thankful for this day and that you have the opportunity to experience all it can offer you. Have a great Day :) :) ;)

I can not beleive it. I woke up this morning with no cravings, drove to work and only thought about smoking once and very breifly. Yesterday was horrible. I am not sure but maybe the chantix is helping more then I thought it would. But it is only 9 a.m. I still have the rest of the day to go. One day at a time. Hour by hour I will get through this. Thanks for all the help and support. This site is awesome. :)
