Hi Matt, I know EXACTLY how you feel and NO you are no 'almost' going insane. It absolutely does feel like it, I understand that, it is very convincing, but you are not and you couldn't even if you tried. It is just another symptom of anxiety. Sometimes it is called derealization or depersonlization..but terms are used. It is the most frightening experience I think that I have ever experienced as well but it is not dangerous at all. It is simply anxiety...nothing more. Take a few deep breaths...very slowly in, and even more slowly out....belly up and belly down....breathe... it'll go away eventually. Good luck, Danielle

Hi Matt You didnt mention if you are going to therapy or anything, but let me see if I can help a little. You are not going insane, thats one of the things about panic, we want to be so in control that when we have all these symptoms we fear going insane but we are not. If you can maybe talk to a counselor at school about how you are feeling. You said your parents are fighting and you are trying to tune it out, thats normal. If your folks are not helpful, try the school counselor or if you go to church talk to someone there. There are alot of books about the subject of panic and anxiety, the ebst one i have found is "Hope and help for your Nerves" it was written before Panic/anxiety became a "popular" problem but the info in this book will explain alot of the feelings and fears you are having. Most of all hang in there and keep seeking until you find the answers you need.

ok, this is addded to the post, but alot of this anxiety, simple tasks that stresses me, mainly my mom always kept me back from everything, she never let me grow up, and had rages becuase she didnt know how to cope with things. I go into overwhelming states on everything, i go blank and almost forget what is happening, then i feel blankness, as if a new file tried to emerge, either two things happen, a complete overload that i am going insane or a very detached feeling. A warped feeling of sudden confusion, and unknown, this is when i feel on the edge of psychosis. My parents are fighting right now, im sorry, but i had to post somehting to get it out. Im trying to tune it out. Sorry, but i would really apprieciate any advice

ok, I go into these complete states of jumbled information, usally when i fear im going insane, and i feel reality has gone! its just me and my mind, i am looking feel lightheaded, tingling feeling, and i feel warped. I've had nightmare's of losing connections and detachment, i i obsess over this. I have gone to the point of its so bad that feel its too intense and something else must take over. I, worry of these panic symptoms came from abornormalties in my thoughts, and triggered a alert reaction, and really im insane its just postponed by my reaction to it. Oh my gosh, i dotn want to even think the word anymore. Neurosis or Psychosis or both I dont know
