I am currently on Zoloft and it has saved my life... but I went through a trial and error with more medications than I knew were even out there! Some medications that left me imobile on the couch for 24 hours worked miracles for friends and family members. I know how awful it is to have to try different meds hoping to find the right one knowing that you might experience some bad reactions to some... but I promise it is worth it in the end! I know if must be tough with 2 kids because some of the reactions don't leave you in a condition to deal with kids.. but if it's possible to get a babysitter for a day or two and just try a new one every couple of weeks it will be worth it in the end. I'm here to support you!!!
Hi Crystal.
I have been through this too.
Though I am a male and never been through child birth, I have had plenty of anxiety and panic issues that revolved around OCD.
I tried to get off meds, but was only successful in getting off one of them.
Now I have retooled and am trying just one med and valium.
I was OK for about 8 days and then once I got back into stressful situations, some anxiety returned.
I am not feeling full myself right now. Some dissociation is going on. I too have the blah blah feeling and did not want to accept what was going on.
All I can say is explore every option. It may take some time to feel fully like yourself as is the case with me. But never stop trying.
I hope you feel better,
David
Hi, I am 24-With 2 children. After the birth of my daughter-Now 8 months I had an out of the blue anxiety attack. I got dizzy and then I freaked after a long day of stress. It took me a couple of months to get out of it and I thought I did. Although I still felt "wierd" Like i was looking in a rear view mirror-Or in a tunnell. I tried to tell myself I was just tired, blah blah but now months later my anxiety has come back-In a different way but, I just am so sad-So so sad that i can not control this. I just had a bad reaction to Zoloft and am very hesitant to take anything new..I just want to nkow if this is possible to get through without meds-Help
