wow meg ! that is an awesome testimony. itell my sweet bride all the time that what had gotten me throught this is prayer , her prayers for me and mine.and also cold little carrots. but those are from god too so he gets all the credit for those. and the support here has been awesome. I prayed for months before I quit, I guess because I didn't have the confidence in myself to do it alone. So I asked for His strength and support to get me through this and I told Him I couldn't do it without His help. Other than the first week, I have had no real cravings since that first week. Sometimes I feel guilty that I am having such an easy time at this when alot of you here are struggling with cravings and depression. I also used the Nic-out filters for 6 months before I quit and I believe this also helped alot. But I won't finish this post without giving all the credit for my quit to God because without His help I would not have succeeded this time. when i first started this quit i remember on day 1 thinging "please lord , just get me through today". after a few days i prayed "give me one week to celebrate please." then my goal was 2 , then i had heard that if you could do something for 3 weeks , it would be a habit ,and if you could quit something for 3 weeks , you would have broken a habit. so i prayed for that big 3 weeks and i got it. next was a big stat goal because 4 weeks would be cool ,and in a few days it would be a month. got that and kept on trucking. honestly 5 weeks was not a real big deal to me , but 6 was and i got that yesterday. all this ranting is not to pat myself on the back , i'm just glad that i quit and could not have done it without your support. and if your new here , keep the faith , you can do it , you will do it. because if you're here and trying , YOU'RE A WINNER ! thanks and god bless you all.
