I have started taking Lecithin. I found Medical Miracle Foods and also a book on Melatonin.. these are some things you might want to ask your Dr about. or look up on the internet.
You are both doing and working so hard on your quits.. keeping you both close in thoughts... even if I can;t get to the computer as much as I would like right now... sending HUGS BJ

Hi A1
I am soooooooo wishing that things are improving for you. I promised to keep you informed on the med situation. Things have improved some. The battle in my mind has let up some so I feel I can concentrate a little better. I had a real rough yesterday though. Was around smokers in a high stress situation for most of the day. Luckily I was able to get out because it was getting close. Hope your day is brighter and let me know how you are doing.

Hi Anxioux,
I just wanted to really applaud what you are doing.
You may be interested to know that quite a few people have problems with depression after quitting, even those who have no previous history. I include myself in the latter category. It can take a number of months for your brain chemistry to recover after quitting and develop new neuropathways. Generally things start to improve after about 120 days quit, but as I said, it can take quite a few weeks/months to really see a difference. If the depression is lasting, a lot of people take meds for a few months or a year, and then see how the land lies after that.
I guess what I am saying is that things are likely to improve somewhat as you get further down the road.
The best of luck to you.
Lizzie :)

I started taking the 5 htp and that seemed to really help with the mood. The anxiety though, I wake up with everyday and resides in my gut all day long, even if I take meds. I am hoping that as time goes on, it will lessen and I will learn some more tools to deal with it. Thanks for checking in Peace, I appreciate it.
