This is Great and I love it!! Congrats to all of us, from day 1 to Rusty's stats which I can't wait to get to and you are an inspiration to us all. Well lets see what can I do, well I can drive in the car without having a cigarette and not rush out the door when I first wake up because I can't start my day without one. Those seem to be the toughest for me by far but I am doing it!! And I don't need one to start my day and my car smells allot nicer! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/16/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 120 Amount Saved: $30.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 11 Mins: 4 Seconds: 2

Congrats on the 30 day mark Tobyfan.. One thing I can do that I haven't been able to do before is sit thru a half time show and really see it...lol. I have been through a stessful week and still have not smoked so that was a big thing for me. Funny I often think of cigarettes and smoking but I know that I will never smoke again... Y'know, I'm finding that the newer quitters are really terrific with helping each other. I'm really happy to know that there are so many caring people. Keep it up, and remember.."Before you smoke...post". Tobyfan, Islandgirl, Jim and Deck...I am so proud of each of you for pushing through, perservering, learning so much about yourselves as you go through this journey. I'm a little farther along, but perhaps it will help you to know what I learned I can do without smoking: Cope with the deaths of three very dear people Enroll in graduate school at age 56 (I'm halfway through now)and work full time at the same time Travel two or three times a month for my job Eat, drink, drive, and fly without smoking Go through multiple medical procedures and medication changes (not related to smoking) Live with a smoker, have children who smoke, and a boss who smokes Make a host of friends These are just a few of the biggies. I smoked from age 17 to 55, around two packs a day. So as we often say, if I can do it, you can, too! Rusty :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1194 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 33,432 Amount Saved: $4,179.00 Life Gained: Days: 170 Hrs: 17 Mins: 34 Seconds: 14

I can answer the phone, without lighting up. I can even drink alcohol without a cigarette I have had a couple of coffees but it's still a major trigger for me. I have gotten through a breakdown in my relationship, not so good news from my doctor and all without smoking. Had I but known that it was possible to quit and stay quit, I would not now be facing the scalpel to repair the damages caused by smoking. But I'm getting through it without smoking. Let's see, I found it is IS possible to talk on the phone without a cigarette...I found out I could survive eating dinner and enjoying company without sneaking outside for a smoke. Yep, there are lots of others I am sure people will discover...
