Time for me to get help

Hi Bud. I recently posted "I fell hard last night," in another thread. (Coping with Setbacks) I have dealt with panic and anxiety for so many years. I recently discontinued taking triavil and fell slowly and then suddenly. I am now recovering. I've been to doctors and when I properly follow their advice as well as taking care of myself with proper nutrition and positive thinking, I do much better than I was doing. I am going through a rough time right now and I really know how you feel. If there's ever any advice you need please do not hesitate to ask. David

Welcome. I lived like this far too long in fear of telling the doctor I have panic issues. AFTER that was done, I felt like an idiot for waiting for so long and even the doctor told me "WHY HAVE YOU WAITED!!??" the medication worked fast and I got immediate relief. I hate still that I waited so long to get help. I, personally, take Lexapro 10mg and Xanax together for the panic and they have just worked wonders. I can go days and never even think about being anxious.

Bud, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When your finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This may better help assess the situation. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. We are here to support you and assist you. By using the test and starting the program, you will be one step closer. Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Hi, this is my first post here, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some support. My family has a long history of panic and anxiety problems. 5 out of 8 people in my family have panic disorder, myself and my father have the worst time with it. I have had panic attacks for about five years. When I have a panic attack, I go into a cold sweat, I have severe nausea, I have a strong choking feeling which almost makes me vommit, my heart races and I have a burning feeling in my arms. I have almost entirely cut off association with my friends, and I have stopped going to public places for fear of having a panic attack. After all these years, I have still not been to see a doctor. A few days ago I finally decided that I'm not going to deal with panic anymore. I have been trying to get an appointment with my doctor, but every time I pickup the phone, I get to nervous to call. I am very nervous about going to go see a doctor. I keep having a feeling that something bad will happen when I go. I just wanted to ask what you guys think I should do? -Spencer
