Old Habits

They do pop up Lillyput, but just as a thought that is easily dismissed.. For example today was very stressed and the guy I share a two room office with, smokes, (Not in the office) But he does leave his cigarettes lay on his desk. I passed them several times today, pack open just laying there and I could have taken one so easily. The junkie was a calling, but I know that one puff would put me back at square one, that's how badly I was/am addicted. It took me a very long time to make it here, to my final quit, and quit is how I want to stay, so junkie beware! There will be no cigs touching these lips again! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 345 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,625 Amount Saved: $3,639.75 Life Gained: Days: 45 Hrs: 8 Mins: 39 Seconds: 8

lillyput, It's possible to get cravings any time after a quit. The important thing to remeber is that you're in control, and this is your quit. Don't forget to use the strategies that you use along the way. Sylvie

Hi Lainey, Thank you for explaining. I noticed your stats and in 20 day's you will have quit 1 year Big anniversary coming up I wish it was me. Now I was just wondering if old habits still crop up like tonight for example I made a cup of tea after dinner and reached out for the paket of cigs just like I use to now of course there were none their thankfully. and I wonder about the cravings after such a long time.
