Here! Shouldn't we be at the beach for this reunion?? :) Isn't it funny how we used to occupy these forums every day... sometimes struggling to get through the next minute without smoking... and then eventually finding ourselves living life again without those badgering, nagging, relentless smoking thoughts. In those early days, I couldn't even imagine being at 3 months...much less 3 years... but here we are. I still think of you all especially when those anniversary dates roll around. Thanks for being there along with me {{{UNSMOKEABLES}}}. What a great bunch you all are. Duffis & Pete, I'm so sorry to hear that you've had tragedy in your life but I am glad you made it through without smoking. I think that would be the true test...to endure tragedy. Today is my actual quit date...........3 Years ago.........I never thought it would be possible in those early days. As Brenna said, the Unsmokeables did a lot of whining, crying, throwing, etc....but we took it one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute it at time. We stuck together and cried on each others shoulders (well not physically) but we did it all here at the SSC. We have a mentor in our group and he has been a mentor, a friend to our group and to all of SSC and that is Duffis. He inspired us, congered up the Beach for us, he was the actual one that started the Beach for our group to go to and now everyone at SSC goes there when they reach their 100 days quit. So anytime you "newbies" need a lift in spirits, just archive any of Duffis's posts and you will be touched by his wonderful spirit. My thanks to him and all of the Unsmokeables for all of their help in getting me to my 3 year quit! Love to the all!!!
