Ear infection or something worse?

Hopeful! I understand what you are saying, it seems everything is pined on Anxiety. I get so frustrated it feels as if Im never really sick with anything. Not that I wan't to be sick but people with Anxiety get sick too! When I started Zoloft I got so sick from it, I was having huge hives all over my body and face, it was awful. I know from past experience with Paxil that hives are a side effect for me. When talking to my doctor about them she said " It's nothing just anxiety" I had to argue with her, somethings are NOT always anxeity related.

In response to your ear problems. I am having similar symptoms. My ear doesn't hurt but it constantly feels plugged-like I am in the mountains. I wonder if it is a side effect to a drug or what. Sometimes I think that the doctors can't find out what's wrong and so they pin anxiety on us. Sometimes I wonder if they are just concentrating on our reactions to our symptoms and no the true cause of them. I am still having trouble beleiving all my problems with my body are anxiety ridden because I was not leading my life with any problems prior to all this ****

Well I'm glad its nothing serious. Hopefully you'll get your prescription soon - have you tried a warm cloth or hot water bottle on your sore ear? Maybe do a search for home remedies for swimmers ear in the meantime.

Well I went to the doctors and I have Swimmers ear, Im not a swimmer but have been taking lots of baths lately to calm my nerves and gave myself a ear infection, can't win for losing. My doctor increased my Prozac to 40mg because she wan't me to be anxiety free no lower anxiety. She is happy with my progres and so am I. She perscribes some ear drops but wont be able to get to the pharmacey for a few days, bad weather. I don't know what Ill do for the pain now.

Cassie it sounds like an ear infection to me so luckily you have a dr appt tomorrow. Do you have a fever at all? Try lots of fluids and you can put a heating pad or warm cloth over your ear and that might help. Let us know tomorrow what the doc says. Good luck.

I am starting to panic here... a few night ago I started getting this really sharp pain in my ear and then today it's really itchy inside and its aching, there is a feeling of pressure and it hurts to open my mouth wide, my throat is also really itchy. My bite also feels off, I think I have been grinding my teeth at night but Im not sure, I woke up twice with this loud breaking noise in my mouth and check for broken teeth but find nothing. Im really scared as to what this may be... Does this sound like a ear infection, Tumor or TMJ??? I have a doctors appt tomorrow thank goodness but need some reasurence right now that it most likely is nothing bad.
