I just wanted to thank everyone for their reponses and say that I have been to the Doctor and it turns out I have shingles and she said this may be what is making me feel as if I am falling or I may have had an inner ear infection and because I am anxious I have caught onto the feeling. I'm grateful for everyones advice, it helped a lot.

I know of some really helpfull websites and they talk about this sinking feeling or walking on a slanted floor. I can't post them here but if you would like I could send them through e-mail. Up to you but they are infromative.

It is a symptom of anxiety my doctor even told me this.. of course it can be a symptom of other things also but Anxiety can cause this feeling also. Just because someone hasnt heard of this befor doesnt make un true. To many of us anxiety suffers know what you are talking about for it not to hold truth.

Thanks for all your responses it made me feel better, I e mailed the support centre about this and they said they hadn't heard of a leaning feeling being a symptom of anxiety which had now put me about five steps backwards! It had virtually gone and now its come back again, I feel really frightened there is something wrong with me, maybe this isn't anxiety, maybe I really do have something seriously wrong with me now. Can anyone reassure me? I almost feel one leg is longer than the other, and i'm being pulled to the right. I hate feeling like this, I wish I was normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its made me feel so much better knowing others suffer from this! It takes the scary element away a bit! I guess thats what it is, its like a slanted floor, or that one of my legs is longer than the other! Thanx, Happy New Year!!

I have had the same leaning feeling, as well my left leg usually felt rubbery and the ground under my left foot when I bend and put pressure on that leg the ground would feel squishy even if it was solid concrete.
