Hi all, I just wanted to share a little realization that I came to the other day. I was just doing the dishes and for some reason the word "panic" popped into my head. The funny part is that, as soon as I even thought the word, my body began to react i.e. nausea, dizziness and shortness of breath followed by disassociation. Just the Word!! Since then I have tried a little experiment. I choose a time when I am completely relaxed (or as close as I ever get) like in the bath or writing and I just say the word "panic" to myself. Everytime I do it, the symptoms come on. Why this was so helpful for me is because it made me really see how all of this is connected to my mind. I had been told that many times before but this is the first time I really believed it. Anyway, it's a good first step. Now if only I can use that tool to reverse the panic response somehow... just wanted to share. Hope everyone is doing well. Cheers, Lolita.
