Do you have any coping strategies for different symptoms?

Hi just wondering what some other coping strategies are for some of our symptoms. I have found for myself with that feeling of unreal or fogginess if I just kind of go with the flow it helps me a lot. I read about it once in a book to just let it go and one day I was at a red light at a busy intersection and felt like I was going to pass out and was in a real haze so I let myself go out of focus for about 10 secs and it worked! So I do that often now and that feeling doesn't really bother me much anymore. For a choking feeling I find that if I can either force myself to eat an orange (I think my brain thinks the Vitamin C helps) or drink a glass of gingerale it seems to work as well. Chest pain sometimes I can just talk my way through it and tell myself if it was my heart I would have known about it 20 years ago but I'm not always that easily convinced in this department. I am looking for a remedy to the shakes and shortness of breath.
