my test

20 years ago 0 44 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I got my stress test results back yesterday, which was completely negative thank god. It showed my heart is completely healthy, I have a excellent recovery from intense exercise and have a tolerance for a high level of physical activity and blood pressure during and once the test had completed was excellent as well so I guess the 150/70 that my BP was at before I started the test was because of the anxiety of the test itself, I was so anxious awaiting the test in the waiting room. Man o man has the weight of the world been lifted from my shoulders. My anxiety I feel is nearly gone, the tightness, pain, and burning in my chest are gone. I have an MRI next week to confirm there is nothing wrong with my head which I am completely confident now that there isn't. I am glad I did the stress test although my doc did warn me of the 10 percent chance of a false positive, which then would have required further testing.

My chest feels better each day that passes, I do have small recurances of sensitivity, burning , sore to touch(my shirt touching my chest bothers me sometimes), and pain which feels deep in my chest, usually a constant pain with the occasionally sharp pain here and there, sharp pains are gone though since I started to relax a bit more. Like the others said take a hot bath or shower relax, I actually put Rub a535 on my chest and though it was a funny feeling at first it relaxed my chest like you cant believe" Ya i hear ya mine is tender to touch to,which i belive is muscle related but my left arm hurts alot to,but that could be from when i was taking my blood pressure alot..thank you for your kind words..i hope all is well the people there are so cool, they said they will call me monday, because im so worried, they even bumped me up a week because i was so scared..my racing heart is crazy to the showr and xanax used to work like money, but sometimes i take a hot shower, and off to the races it goes you know lol i dunno i hope all is well,so they pretty much so it all there huh before i left i pray so he looked twice and said it looks good..i just cant wait to chill out later..

Cool Pete, Let us know what happens. I have the same trouble and I am going for yet another stress test this WED and on MON I am seeing another GI DR and then get another 48 hour halter montior! LOL I shouldn't have done this but yesterday I bought a exercise heart rate monitor to check on myself once and a while (and I will use it when I walk or start to work out when this is all over with) and this morning before I took the beta blocker, to walk to the kitchen in our one bedroom, my h/r was 130!!! I have/had the exact worry about my heart/chest, exact same symptoms brought me to the ER one night where they did a resting ekg, which showed all was fine. Questioning this further my doc sent me for a stress test, and let me tell you I was so nervous at the test my BP went up to like 150/70 at the start. It has been 2 weeks since my test, and trust me for the 1st week I was worried sick. However if there was an issue during the stress test they would notice it right away, the longer it takes to get your results back the better, even though it might not seem that way. They could tell as soon as my father started the stress test that he had angina. Then further study from there clogged arteries after further testing. The stress test is a very good test. If they said nothing about it while you were there I will bet my house that you are 100% physically healthy. If they had seen something they didnt like you probably would be booked already for further testing. Just think they way I came to grips with it was, are these doctors/nurses really going to let me go home after my stress test and have a heart attack without telling me that I am likely to have one? could you imagine the legal ramifications and lawsuits? I still havent got my results back yet and the longer I wait the less worried I am. Like the others said take a hot bath or shower relax, I actually put Rub a535 on my chest and though it was a funny feeling at first it relaxed my chest like you cant believe.

Hi outlaw, I know waiting for test results can be very frustrating, but try to focus on what you know already. You heard the doctor that reviewed the tests say everything looked normal. Try to find some reassurrance in that. I know it is hard but it may help you get through the weekend til you get the official word from your doctor. Keep us posted. Hi! I think your chest might be tender brcause you are having tension in that area from anxiety. I have had it before. You need to relax, take a nice warm bath, put a heating pad or hot water bottle on your chest and soothe it, relax it. Got any nerve pills from doc,? they should help. When your doc tells you you are okay, believe him. It is hard to but if he has done ample tests, believe him. Good luck!
