Thanks for the encouragement guys. I'm feeling a lot better now...I think I'm over the worse of my cravings which is a relief. I've been reading and doing cross-word puzzles and just trying to keep busy. I'm looking forward to Day 6 and hope it will be a little easier. I think I was on a pity party there for a while which probably triggered my cravings...I don't know why I was feeling sorry for myself...just was...strange. Has anybody felt like that too when they quit?

Hey Ginette - Hang in there. I know that each person's experience is unique but try to fall back on the experiences of the others here. The mental aspect of this can be a bit tricky, to put it lightly. Do whatever you have to to find your way through. If it helps, remember that we are walking beside you.

Hello Ginette, good for you making 5 days. I'm sure you know that was no small accomplishment. You're doing great!!
The craves will pass, each one in-turn. Always look beyond the moment, that's where your quit is. Learn to move through the craves and not react to them. Your getting better at it every day you don't smoke.

Hi everybody
Well, this is Day 5 and I'm really struggling. There seems to be no end to the cravings. I'm just besides myself because of it. I don't know how long I've got to keep on going like this. I have an urge to smoke and I'm trying hard to talk myself out of it.
I went off the patch again, trying to see if it will help and plan on drinking lots of water. I'm chewing on my stirrer stick like there's no tomorrow.
I'm hoping things will ease off a bit. Need a breather.
