Heartburn

I also suffer with heartburn. I had mine checked by my doctor. I was put on Pepcid, can get it over the counter. There is other brands out there to try, can ask the phramacy for help. I also have had been eating dairy products and realized I was lactose intolrant. I do not eat any dairy products and it has reduced my heartburn down to nothing. Dairy products can also cause bloting, pain and diarrhea. I still can get heartburn if I eat peanut butter, to much greasy-spicy food and citrus foods and drinks. Try to stay away from juices-teas that say citrus acid and carbonated beverages. Oh ya and alcohol, smoking. Most vitamin C have to much acid in them also. I have final found a vitamin C that works. Ive had heartburn for a long time intill I did the process of elmination of things that can make it flare it up. I read that you also had taken meds for heartburn, they won't do the whole thing on its own. You have to take the things that feed the fire away, like I said the process of elmination. I hope the best for you. I know that this disorder is a pain, but hang in there you are stonger than you think. Stay posted to this sight and reading others post will help . You are not alone :)

When my attacks are at their worst I get such awful heartburn that I feel like I'm having a heart attack. I thought it was a physical condition, but I took medication for acid reflux and it didn't help. My heartburn is worse than ever. I've made improvements to my diet, but it doesn't stop. I'm having a minor episode as I sit here. Anyone else?
