Well I went on the Prozac and read the book From Panic to Power and you are right, it is how we percieve things and cope with problems that matters. I am getting used to hubby being gone, I try to take the time to relax and do things I like that I normally wouldnt have time to do. I have to fight the fear of being alone the most. Thanks for your replies.

Devon, My hubby is gone a whole lot too and it is very hard on me with the panic. He drives truck and is out for most of the week. It's not easy that's for sure. Soon as possible we will try for a life where he will be home every night at least.

To put it bluntly your doctor is an idiot. It really peeves me off that people who do not understand anxiety feel that they can diagnose and advise. He should refer you on because he has no idea. My advice, get better help and don't stop until you get an answer with a bit of common sense.

Wow! I can't believe that your doc told you to get rid of your husband because he is on the road a lot... If yhe is abusive... then for sure, but if he's not, and you love each other, there must be another solution. maybe you need to get comfortable with yourself, wheather you are alone or not. I would think that that was the deeper issue. i freeak out a bit too when my boyfriend goes to the cottage for the weekend and I stay home, but I used to have a friend stay over, now we have a dog who is very protective and makes me feel safe. leave your husband if he makes you unhappy, but not because he works on the road a lot... just my opinion ;p

My doc says that anxiety will not end TIL we resolve whatever is bothering us. Like mine is caused from my hubby working on the raod all the time and his sporatic work/income. I TWEEK out when he is gone. Thus my doc says that I need to make a choice OR he does. If he dont want to work local and help me feel more secure and have a normal life, Then I need to pretty much get him out of my life. He thinks mine is caused by an ongoing issue. I believe it too. I have gotten to the point where I am sooooo dizzy and off balance that I was freaking out over that too. He says the dizziness is anxiety as I feared a brain tumor like many do. Thanks for listening and hope that if you KNOW what issue is "eating" you, you can resolve and maybe it will help.
