That is strange Mister Ed because I DID try to quit on 13th May 2004 but failed miserably by smoking 3 on 13th, 2 on 14th, 0 on 15th, 5 on 16th & 9 on 17th before finally cracking it on the 18th May 2004 (lots of 13th quitters all swooning at their good fortune!) So the 18th it is and a Tuesday to boot!!! All The Best Penitent d1281 :)

Thanks Bob for your kind words. It's all borne out of an intense desire to give back. I have written here before that I owe, and truly I do. I could never beat this addiction until I came here, until I learnt from those who came before me. Their answers to my questions appeared magical through the ether. It was possible to quit! I was spellbound and became driven - there could be only one outcome. I've beaten it Bob and now I'm passing it on, in my own style for sure but all I really want is to see a long line of winners stacked up behind me! I smile in the knowledge that most days, that's true. luna and I will celebrate Thanksgiving apart but we look forward to enjoying a quiet and peaceful Christmas together.
