Excitement and anxiety

I have never liked it when my husband has had to travel but I knew before I married him that it was a requirement for his job. The first time he went away for 2 weeks, I was pregnant with our son-our firstborn. I went and stayed with my mom. Since I've had the kids I've been able to stay home on his trips but the last few times my panic was under control. This time, I'm not so sure. But I have a strong faith in God and know I will be taken care of. Rachel

I understand the part about hubby's trips. Mine works away from home alot. He is gone for 9 days right now. Last time he was gone a month and I was anxious and felt lousy the whole time. I go through spells where I take it well, but usually not. I get all tight in the neck and shoulders when I get stressed and anxious which makes it worse. Thanks for listening!

Good deal, I had to take a nap myself today. Seemed to help a bit.

Thanks. Yesterday ended up ok. Actually, the kids and I all felt miserable with the cold we all have so we watched a little extra TV and took a nap after lunch. That really helped.

Rachel, How did your day go? I know with me sometimes when I have excitement I get a bit hyper from it and believe me I am not the hyper type LOL but really it feels like I just need to take a step back and breath for a few and I feel better. Maybe find a couple of things special to do that are relaxing for you to look foreward to and you can have peaceful relaxing thoughts just looking foreward to it. I'd love to do something for myself like get a massage every couple of weeks or so. I think it would be a great thing to look foreward to and reflect back on as relaxing when I need those thoughts.

Im just posting because today I am feeling quite anxious today. However, I know that much of the feeling is the excitement of the next few months in addition to the stressors I have going right now. Does anyone else notice how things that are good can contribute to your anxiety level. Both of my children's birthdays are in November. I happen to love planning and giving birthday parties for my kids and find butterflies in my stomach-I'm almost as excited as my kids. And of course Christmas is on it's way. But then we also have some stressors-we just accepted a contingent offer on our house-this is good and bad. I'm not looking forward to moving and will miss the area I am in and being ****her away from some of my friends. But we're not moving too far and one of closest friends will be closer. And since the offer is contingent, we don't know when the moving will actually end up taking place. My husband (one of my biggest support systems) is having to take two trips this month for business and will be gone on Thanksgiving. So I know why I'm feeling more anxious but I'm not too excited about it. I just want to feel good through all this. I'm not severely feeling the anxiety but I just don't want it to escalate. I'm concentrating on extra prayer and relaxing. I know it will get better. Thanks for reading.
