THIS IS SOO TOUGH

Hey Lotta! You need to change how you look at this. If you keep telling yourself that its hard or its tough, it will be that way! I just did the same thing with my job, this last while has been very frustrating for me at work, why? Because I kept telling myself that I hated my job and that is was hard and that it was frustrating, the self fulflling prophecy! Then it dawned on me, I was causing my own grief! Once I gave up that attitude it has been much better. I just tell myself, I can handle it, it will go alright, and it has. So try some new self talk! I can do this. Quitting is getting easier every day! I am a non smoker! I am doing great! I am kicking ash! Try it Lottalifeleft and see if it works! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 247 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,175 Amount Saved: $2,605.85 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 5 Mins: 24 Seconds: 54

Slow Down, I stopped by going 1 hour at at time. I checked into this post all the time. I smoked for 35 years, and quit last week. The idea is to keep focused on the big prize....some extra cash in your pocket, and regaining control of your life. Tobacco is so incredibly addictive. The help I got from posting often will actually keep your hands and mind busy enough to get by the "craves". You've made the biggest step, no rely on your strength to overcome this demonic addiction. If we can do it...meaning most of us on this site, anyone can. You can do it!! Lottalifeleft, Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on making it through your first day smoke-free! Quitting smoking is a long journey and very hard but you can do. We encourage you to work through the program and learn about triggers and coping mechanisms to help you through the tough times. In the mean time, take some time to reward yourself for all of your success thus far. Brenna, Bilingual Support Specialist

Every time I smoke I obsess about not smoking and here I am now trying to stay quit and can't stop thinking about cigs. sh@#. I just don't know which way is up right now.
