Should I go to the patch?

I would say no to the patches and yes to treating yourself to something that makes you happy and lifts your spirits. When I feel the rage and anger start to build, walk away, count to 10 and calm yourself before talking to someone. If the anger is from withdrawl from nicoteen, it should get less and less. Tryagain, Yes give it a few more days! Now that you are off the gum you will see an improvement! Each day gets better and better! It does! You will see. Don't put anymore nicotine back in your body ever, not after it's been so mean to you! You are in charge now! Not the nicotine! Keep it that way! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 241 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,025 Amount Saved: $2,542.55 Life Gained: Days: 29 Hrs: 11 Mins: 6 Seconds: 23

They all exact a price of some kind. Time or money and it is always more than I can pay. I'm giving this a few more days. If I get no relief I'm just going to have to do something because this makes no sense at all. tryagain, I think your answer is in what everyone told you in the other thread. To answer your question about the patch, I say, "NO WAY"! Why would you keep going back and forth with nicotine??? It makes no sense to me. How about you invest your patch money in SOMETHING of your choosing that will help you deal with these feelings. You say no doctor, no therapist. Fine. How about a support group with counseling where you go to a physical location? What about your local community center or church like martha suggested? There are a lot of options for you out there. You only have to be willing to utilize them. It seems like you enjoy the suffering. Why else would you reject all options to fix the problem? My poor husband has had it with me. He suggested that I go to the patch, maybe a low level dose to stop my rages. I don't even know if that would work. I've investigated anti depressants and I am not a candidate for welbutin or zoloft or any of those. No legitimate doctor would prescribe such medication for me. I don't want to trust street dealers. Anyway, I'm considering the patch. It is now day 4 of being off NRT. I have so many questions about why the pieces of the puzzle aren't fitting together. I have been off cigs for 278 days. The behavioral addiction was over a long time ago. What's left is nicotine detox and that leaves the body in what 72 hours? Is that right? To all intents and purposes I should be sailing right now. It is as bad as it was 277 days ago. Not only that but I feel lied to and betrayed and that makes me really angry. I used the gum to get off the cigs. Should I use the patch to get off the gum?
