Allergic reaction to Remeron?

Hi Lauralai, I know you said your doctor was not available but please try to speak to someone about this - even a pharmacist until you can get in to see a doctor...maybe you could see someone who is covering for them? And if it happens again to the point of the lips and tongue swelling...and if progresses to the point of your throat-please just call 911. Hi, I started Remeron about a month ago. This am I woke up with a huge reaction, hives, tounge swelling, lips, whole thing. I took some benadryl. I tried to think of what was different, and the whole rash thing reminded me of a serum sickness thing I had due to Ceclor about 6 years ago. Anyway, has anyone had this sort of delayed reaction with Remeron? I'm hoping it's something else, as the Remeron has been helping, but I've had to take 5 benadryl today. I'm scared of reacting again in the morning (on the bright side, if i have a good panic attack, I'll have instant adreneline :-) I called my doctor, but he's away. I'm petrified of having to go to emergency. I have a hard time getting to the variety store a block away. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
