I was like you, I had heard about them but didn't think it would happen to me!!! Sure enough. After craving for a while I realized. They may pop up again at 60 and 90 days. Knowing what is going on (for whatever reason, who knows) makes it alot easier to deal with! They dissappear as quickly as they showed up! Congrats on 30 days by the way! Thanks all. I'm actually feeling a lot better today - I think just vocalizing the issue is the first step in conquering it. SHHMike, Generally, they last a few days. No need to worry but keep your coping strategies close in case you need them. Congrats on your first month! We wish you many more! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Hi Mike - awesome job on a month quit! Yeah I got increased cravings at around that time - also at 60 and 100 days - but dont worry - as the days behind you get into bigger figures it seems to strengthen your position if you get what I mean - like none of us want to lose all that effort and days smoke free... Keep on at it, you're doing great!! Hey, Mike. Congrats on your first month! Lots of us have had & still have those milestone cravings. They don't last long & the concensus is it's the junkie reminding you he's not quite dead yeat & making a last ditch effort to catch you in a weak moment. Weak moment because we are used to rewarding ourselves with a smoke when we accomplish something. So, here you are with an accomplishment, 30 fabulous smoke free days & the junkie starts whispering that he wants his reward. So reward yourself, not the junkie! You're the one that's doing the hard thing so get yourself something special, wahtever you like. Books, musice, clothes, something for our house or car. It won't last long. Drink water, breathe, laugh at the pathetic junkie & do something nice for yourself! hi all, 1 month quit today - which is great but I've noticed increased cravings starting around day 27. last week I was totally fine i had heard about the "30 day pit" but wondering if this happens for most people. and when will it go away. i know smoking is not an option, just very annoying that suddently the nicodemon is rearing it's ugly head again (and thanks to whoever coined the word nicodemon - it's perfect) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 30 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 750 Amount Saved: $243.75 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 5 Mins: 7 Seconds: 38
