Man, it was scary reading this article. I have been on Xanax for about 15 years. I take 1 mg. daily and it has been a lifesaver, though I understand the dependency factor. I have always been under constant doctor supervision and there has been no controversy over the usage. I do have setbacks with my anxiety and panic disorder, but this is the only med that has really worked for me. I have tried Paxil, Zoloft, Effexor, etc. and the side effects on them for me were terrible. I can never remember having a side effect from Xanax at all. It does not make a me groggy, dry mouth, nothing, just a makes life a little easier.
