Thank you all for your reply's. I have started the Panic Program. It helps to know there are so many people that understand what I'm going through.

Jodi, you poor thing! What a horrible accident, frightening. Definitely get yourself back to the doctor for an adjustment in meds and ask for a recommendation for a good therapist. This group works great too for support when you are having a rough time! Its been a comfort to me when I'm having a rough day. Rachele

Hi Jodi, Welcome to the site. Thanks for sharing your story with us. You will find that many of your fellow members have the same fears related to driving that you are having. They will be able to share their expereinces and feelings with you. Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When youre finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Be sure to post often and let us know how everything is going. Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Hello Jodi,I think this site can give you good information on anxiety/panic which I know is a very debilitating condition.I personally have started doing the program which is offered on this site, and I have read good reports from other members, why not give it a try as well as getting help from your doctor? Good luck, Neil.

Hi. When I was 17 I had my first panic attack. I packed Klonopin with me (just in case). I had a few panic attacks over the years but nothing I could not handle. I'm now 30 and this June 8th I was hit head on by another driver. No broken bones, whiplash and bruises and lots of muscle pain in my neck and back. I did'nt drive for 2 weeks (my pick-up was totaled) but then I did start driving myself to physical therapy. Then on July 16th out of the blue I had the worst panic attack of my life while driving. They continued so I went to my doctor. I've lost 11 pounds which I can't afford to lose. He put me on zoloft and xanax. I have been housebound ever since. I won't even ride anywhere with anyone. My fear is that if I leave the house or drive anywhere I will have a panic attack.
