Always have chest pain

Count me as another one! Chest pains is where my anxiety starts. Khris, thanks for the laugh, I needed it. I could care less where the pain was as long as it wasn't in my chest! Andrea, it scares me to. Have had EKG's and been told I am fine, but it never stops me from wondering what if they were wrong. I have had these off and on for a few years, and despite my concerns and fears it still has been anxiety. Unfortunately that doesn't stop me from fixating on them and thinking the worse. My Dr. finally decided to put me on meds for Anxiety (apart from the occassional zanax), hopin this will do the trick. Take care!

Andrea, I can definetly relate to the chest pain, hun. I would have SWORN up and down that I was having a heart attack... that SOMETHING was wrong with my heart, because even though the tests all said it wasn't and ALL those Dr's said it wasn't my heart, just anxiety, I couldn't understand how I could have chest pain ALL the time, sometimes even waking me in the middle of the night, if it was anxiety. This has been going on for about 3 years now. I still haven't had a heart attack. Still get the chest pain. I guess it really is just anxiety.

Andrea, just a thought. When I go through an extended period of time where my anxiety is in flare up I tend to have problems with acid reflux (severe heartburn). The first time this happened I thought I was having a heart attack. Anyway, the pain remains in my chest whether I am anxious or not for a while till my system calms down again. If you think it could be this try some anti-acids. Rachele

Trip to the ER thinking your having a heart attack and find out your okay. Ohh yesss, I have been there. Still get chest pain and I know it is anxiety, I just wish it was leg or knee pain and leave my chest alone!!!

Hi Andrea, A few months when I was really having horrible panic attacks and syffering from anxiety I had chest pains all the time too. I had it checked out on more than 1 occasion and my heart was fine. Now that I have been on my meds for a year I have very few chest pains. Hope this helps you. Rose

Andrea, Since you discussed with your doctor that you are having chect pain why not try our Anxiety Test? This test may help ypou and your doctor understand if this chest pain is due to panic or anxiety. You can either print out your results or e-mail then directly to your doctor. Keep us posted and let us know if we were of some help? Take care, Melanie _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

I always have chest pain. Does anyone else have this symptom. It really scares me. I have had tests done on my heart & everything was fine, but I always think the worst. Even when I'm not having a panic attack, I always have chest pain. I'm so scare right now. I don't know if there is something really wrong. It would really make me feel better to know that there was some one else with this symptom. If there is, is there anything to relieve this?
