So true Ms. Lady! I know your words come from much experience and wisdom. And oh LOLLY it's so good to see you again :) I've learned so much from others due to this site and have received much needed love & support as well. By sticking together as a group, we have more individual power to be smoke-free. Have a blessed day all! Just breathe......ahhhhhhhhh My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 80 Amount Saved: $19.20 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 52 Seconds: 4

Good Post Lady! You are so right to underline the importance of the diversity of everyone on this site, and each individuals importance to the other.................from all parts of the world and from all walks of life. I think this is one of the things which differentiates this site from others I have read. Our differences make us stronger. As long as we share our experiences and remember to do so in an atmosphere of tolerance, we are a group to reckon with in the battle against our addiction. I come and go now on the site, but no matter what, I always feel drawn to return here....it's like a comfort zone. Now I still like keeping up with old friends, and occasionally add a word to try to help someone, but I remember so many times of high emotion and feelings of devastation and desperation when friends either relapsed or left. Old timers used to come on and try to reassure us that we would feel better about all of this as our quits progressed........it's true!!! Now I am reading more than posting......The site tends to go full circle. Many of the subjects are reiterated by new quitters as they should be. It's the learning process, and, as you said Lady, we ourselves can learn from new quitters. Newer quitters.....we old timers sound like our aged grandparents sometimes as we try to help you and reassure you that it does get better.......tell you what....just hang in there long enough and you will find out we are right! NEVER LOOK BACK, THE FUTURE IS AHEAD!!! Lolly. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/25/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 998 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 34,930 Amount Saved: 4,990.00 Life Gained: Days: 142 Hrs: 16 Mins: 56 Seconds: 23

Folks! We ALL help each other quit. We ALL come with our own experiences and trials when it comes to quitting this addiction. What helps some may not help others. We are a diverse group and that is what makes this site so successful. Share what you know, exchange ideas, hold the hands of those having a hard time, and post your words of encouragement. Other members doing this is what gets us all through the rough times. There have been times when someone with just a couple of days quit was able to help me put things back in perspective! EVERYONE has something to offer herer. Members come and go at will. Sometimes we all need a break and others just need to move on with their smoke free lives. When I began my quit and saw members leaving it was very discouraging. I often felt as if I were losing a friend. Exchange email addresses using the IM and keep in touch with those that you connect with. This is a wonderful place to quit smoking and we all have something to offer.
