I am glad you are feeling better Sparky! How did today go? I am so ready for this weekend. I love not having to get up in the morning ya know? My first non-smoking birthday is coming up, so many things to be grateful for. YOU are one of them!! I hope it was a great day. You have such cute stories to tell, you had me laughing and I need a cute story, thank you. If one trigger is not enough, here go ahead and have another. It's Murphy' law. So what have you just done, you knocked down two trikers, YIKES! So while doing your construction project this morning, think coffee, ice water, ice tea, celery, carrot, crackers. You are doing great, keep yelling so i can hear you say No, No... The magic of all of this is that a special day will come for you when you won't have to bother with this anymore. Good for you Sparky. Glad to hear you are feeling better. I did a lot of home improvement projects to keep from smoking. I ripped out carpet, redid floors, sanded and refinished cabinets... Oh what work. Just think, you did it all without smoking. You can look at your handywork and just be Proud of what you have accomplished! Your positive attitude got you through and I bet you didn't even realize it at the time. You are doing so awesome with your quit!!! This quit belongs to YOU! This is your forever quit! Sparky, Did my kitchen last year it will drive anyone up a wall. Stove and refrig in the livingroom for 2 months so I hear ya. It is a new trigger that we all have to go through. I went out with 2 old school friends to spend the day on Wed and neither one ever smoked but my craves were and still are so bad. I guess we just have to trudge along this path till we have done it all. Here's an idea for you. I know you are getting a kitty and you already have the back end right? Well go shopping with the colors of your kitchen in your head and pick out some nice new pet food dishes. Just a thought but it is something crazy I would do. Keep on trucking you will be smokefree in a new kitchen and laughing about it trust me :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 149 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,980 Amount Saved: $968.50 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 1 Mins: 3 Seconds: 28

Sparky - My Lady!! Of all times for my IM to be acting up!!! I am going to try to sign in again. Come on over and crawl under the blankets...The remote control is yours as long as you don't mind sharing the covers with hubby, George and Sam. I'll feed you nutty buddies and tell you happy fireman stories until you fall asleep...I promise! This is one of those days when you make it through the hour and go "one day at a time" You WILL do it! I remember how thrilled I was when I finally realized that I had gone through a major stressed out day without thinking about smoking - Your day will come - The kitchen will be finished, You and your kitchen will be sparkling and oh soooooo beautiful! Can't you just feel the freedom????? I hear ya Sparky, it is easier to put it away after you vocalize it some times isn't it? I am excited for you about the kitchen, before long it will be new kitty time huh? Focus on that, new life. Sparky, Your right! It will get there and you will do it and feel satisfied when it is done :) You can take some down time and relax, make this your reward and go to dinner or a movie. Have a coffee date outdoors and watch the sunset! Thanks for sharing and keep strong, Josie, Support Specialist

Be patient, It take awhile. This is just a new trigger. Remember...minimum one year to experience most of the things we did in life smoking. I bet this is your first big project as a non smoker. It's just one of those things. You got to do it.."not smoking" to get this under your belt. Same with vacations and everything else. I know how hard it is so I'm sending good vibes your way. Sparky, my friend, come to the bonfire! There's nothing negative going on there & you can throw that junkie thinking & your frustration right into the fire. Burn baby, burn!
