Thank you guys, I started taking the clonopin last night and today was a good day not panic or anxiety. Keeping my fingers crossed. Poe

Hi Poe, I completely agree with everything Katie said. If the dr perscribed Klonopin you should give it a try. Also, I know firsthand..you should never lower you doses on you own & NEVER quit cold turkey. When I did that it was the worst time of my life!! I hope you are feeling better! Chanda

Hi, Poe. Don't give up on your meds. I've been struggling with the right doses myself. I've been on prozac for years and just added klonopin to the mix. It's helped me a great deal. I bet there are a lot of us out there who have experienced the same thing. Try the Klonopin if that's what the doctor prescribed. Each medication works differently in different people. Something that might work for you might not work for someone else. You have to keep trying to find just the right thing for your body. It will be worth it in the end. I don't know if you read the discussion from Mike yesterday. He brought up some really good points. Basically, your goal should be to be symptom free, not necessarily med free. People have to take medicine for many reasons. Those of us with a panic disorder are no different. Good luck and keep trying. katie

Hi all, I have been taking Celexa and xanax since I first experienced panic attacks 13 months ago. I go monthly to my psychiatrist and weekly to theraphy. After been free of panic attacks for 10 months now since April it has been hell, my doc just switched me to klonopin but I go crazy thinking I would be better off without the meds or that the meds specialy the Celexa is making it worse. I have ( i know I shouldn't) on my own cut back to 10 mg then back to 20mg of Celexa and after 1 week of cold turkey I had to take 10 mg because I felt horrible and depressed. I haven't taken the klonopin yet, but I am just tired of feeling so lousy. I remember when I saw Tom Cruise on Larry King say that psychiatry is bunk I felt outraged. Now I think this is a vicious cycle and he may be right. I also have a session scheduled this Saturday with a Hypnotist. Poe,
