HI - I know the feeling all too well....Ive been in and out of panic for close to 15 years. ... the first time you beat it you feel at the top of the world but every time it comes back it gets harder and harder mentally to cope because you work so so hard to get well and it comes back....we are the strongest people out there ,,,, believe me, most of the people i know that think i am weak wouldnt be able to cope one day with panic disorder....i think we just need to adjust our lives to this illness and perhaps meds indefinitely...... its hard, believe me i know, i relapsed 1 year ago and cant seem to come back to remission.

Im back too after a fairly long symptom free period. Im not sure we ever "beat" it, we just learn more and more effective ways to cope with it. I hope one day it will become nothing more than an annoyance like that pesky fly at a picnic. Best of luck to you...and to us all. Mike

Hi Nina, Welcome back to the site. As you know there is lots of support available to you here. Be sure to post often and let us know how things are going. Also please take advantage of the program and tools available on this site designed to help with panic and anxiety. Don't be discouraged by the return of these symptoms. Find strength from your past successes. Also - be sure to discuss this recent recurrance with a health professional. It sounds like you had a good therapist in the past. Hopefully this is person is still available for you. Look forward to hearing from you again soon, Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Hi, I am Nina and I was a frequent visitor of this site a few months back. I was having a very difficult time but with occassional meds and visits to a therapist and using the PC Program I started to do well and then very well and then my Panic Attacks ceased and I only had mild anxiety ... then nothing ... I felt free and happy and jubilant ... And then ...I started to have anxiety attacks again about three weeks ago and it is starting to build into mini Panic Attacks ... I am discouraged and depressed. I thought I had it beat but I am begining to realize that I might never have this totally beat... Anyway ... hello again. It is dicouraging to have to start over again but I am so thankfull that this site exists!!!
