Medication changes anyone?

20 years ago 0 19 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I was just wondering if anyone out there has changed meds and if they had any significant fallout? I have been on zoloft since 2000 and in the last 6 months I have began signs of perimenopause, depression/panic, and to top it off I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My doctor tried to increase my zoloft which made the panic worse, so I was forced to use xanax 3 times a day. Yesterday I went to a very good psychiatrist who changed everything (uggh). He feels the zoloft has done it's job until now and it is time for a change, so he put me on Lexapro 10mg (along with a 2 week wean from the zoloft) he changed the xanax to clonazepam .5mg 1 whole at night and 1/2 in the am. I must add that I am in psychotherapy also. I just hope I don't back slide, because I need to get back to work in 2 weeks, but know I needed a change of meds. Feedback anyone? Lisa
