Jennee, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any question or concerns with our €œTOOLS€, you can contact us at support@paniccenter.net. We are the Support Specialist for The Panic Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have. There are many people on the site who know what you are going through. Please use their knowledge and support to guide you through. Post often, and always, Josie

My panic attacks began after my first child who is 5 yrs now...it just came out of the blue,I was in a store and I just got really hot my heart started pounding and my legs felt like they were coming right out under me and I just wanted to pass out right then and there so I dropped my stuff i had and left the store i got to a payphone and called for someone to come get me....so those attacks last me 2 yrs and I went on paxil but i took a reaction to them and stopped taking them and i havent been on anything since.....there was a gap that I didnt have any attacks... until last summer when I would be in crowded place such as resturants, stores, I would be fine when i left but once i got in there and either sat there waiting or walking around shopping i can feel one coming on and I removed myself or I try and talk to myself in my head to not let it take over that im not gonna get sick or pass out.... Before I became with pregnant with this child I took attacks every few months which wasnt a big deal for me if i took them like that but now its like everytime I go out somewhere..I cant enjoy myself going out shopping as i just panic and think im gonna pass out knowing I havent even passed out once..but i still worry that I will if I dont get out in time..... I know some of my attacks are from fear of things which sux because there are things i wanna do but im affraid to do them because of all of this and other attacks i dont know why i have them.... IM trying to fight this ...some days its easy and other days its hard as sometimes I feel alone dealing with it....and ppl around you just dont understand.....

Hi Jennee & welcome to the group. It is really nice to find people who understand what we're going through. I was wondering, did your panic come back when you became pregnant? Also, are you able to take meds for panic while you are pregnant? I came across a site once that was related to panic during pregnancy & it said that some women suffer more panic while pregnant & some women stop having attacks all together during pregnancy. Anyway I have questions about that because I'd like to have another baby but I've put it off since I've been dealing with these problems. Anyway again, welcome to the group & I hope to hear from you soon. Chanda

Finally a board that there are ppl like me.... I have suffered with Panic attacks for 4 yrs, I suffered for 2 yrs then I had a break and they have come back in the past 2 yrs..and now which is hard to deal with as im 6 months pregnant, so it makes them feel worse, I get the jelly legs when im out in a store walking around. It's not a good feeling...I wanna beable to go out and do things sometimes I dont know why i panic and other times I know its from fear....and i guess ppl around me just dont understand what im going through, that i'll get over it, but its hard. sometimes feeling at the edge of ur seat and when u go out somewhere worrying if ur gonna have another attack wondering if your gonna pass out in a front of a bunch of strangers. Sometimes I can talk to myself in my head to stop worry nothing is going to happen and others I cant its to hard to handle, i end up removing myself from the place or ppl im around and go lie down all curled up waiting for the attack to pass me. I am just glad that i have finally found somewhere where i can come to and have someone to talk to about whats going on....if anyone would like to email me please do so at midnightprincess88@yahoo.ca
