Mercy, Don't romanticize your addiction. See it for what it is! It's not the whip cream, it takes you away from the fun you could be having if you didn't have a junkie to feed. Go back and read some of your inspiring posts. What is there to miss? The smell, the formaldehyde? With regards to the weight gain, remember it is temporary and will come off as soon as you are ready to tackle the issue. Change that negative self-talk. So what if you gained a few pounds? You are still beautiful inside & out! A few pounds doesn't erase that! Keep persevering and have fun on your holiday! You've earned it! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

mercy, you were the one telling me to think positive about an upcoming trigger & to look forward to it, knowing it would be another one out of the way. Back atcha! If the weight gain has you down, you know smoking won't change that, you would just be a smoker with some extra weight & not enough energy or breath to do anything about it. NOTHING is more fun with cigarettes. Tell the junky to get out of your head, that you will not feed her & you want her to die. Then go camping, have a fabulous time & come back & tell us all about it. You have 167 wonderful days, just add one more. Oh mercy - I know myou are not going to heed the poxy suggestion of a feeble past addiction now, are you? Coz that's what it is - it can't tempt you with itself directly anymore, so it's trying to be subversive in it's attack - but you are way smarter than that - to believe a feeble statement like 'oh so you know what, your holiday ain't gonna be perfick till you have a smoke to finish it off...' mercy I know you are way smarter than that -= coz this thing is a total liar aint it? You stay strong girl - like we know you can!! Hi guys, My vacation started ....right now!! I skipped outta work early. I have an out of town friend (non smoker) coming in tomorrow. Then a beautiful camping trip for the week. Boating..camping...campfires and hiking. I have most everything done, but am now about to make my pile of stuff to bring. I camp light. Pup-tent...sleeping bag...and two coolers plus some essentials. I am excited...but the minute I was walking to my car after getting out of work a managable crave started. I was prepared as I realize vacations are a trigger. But I am home now...with a cup of coffee and my heart is beating fast...my brain has turned to mush...and a broken record keeps playing in my head....saying: "This is not as much fun with out smoking" I scream back.. "IT'S A LIE....IT'S A LIE!!" ...but it doesn't scream back at me...it just keeps whispering.."who ya kidding?????....your missing the whipped cream topping on your vacation." Sooooooooooooooo I'm pretty sure I won't do something stupid...but I came here first even though I have a bunch of stuff to do. I can't believe this. I have had a couple of vacations since I quit...so thought this wouldn't be a big deal. On top of that... when I camp like this I pretty much live in my bathing suit and teva sandels and open shirt. Well..............need I say..........my suit is not looking as scrumptous as it once did!!!!!!!!!! :8o: :8o: Not only is my midruff doing the pop thing when I sit...but I think I grew an extra inch of cleveage that I didn't have before!!! :8o: :8o: BREATH..BREATH..BREATH..BREATH.... SOMEONE POSTED YESTERDAY AB0UT NOT FORGETTING TO BREATH!!! What a vent this turned into. RIGHT NOW I WISH I LOOKED LIKE THE GOAT INSTEAD OF ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
