Genevieve, memories are good. Today would have been my sister's birthday also. She died almost 12 years ago from lung cancer. I know she would be so proud of me for quitting. I still celebrate her special day. We take her husband out for lunch and then to the casnio for awhile. She would like to know that he is not alone. Sorry to be a downer. You enjoy your memories and enjoy the day being smoke free. The phrase "Independance Day" has real meaning for all of at SSC. We are free from the monster!!! Yes Happy Independence Day. Independent of cigarettes at last! My mother-in-law was born on the 4th of July in Newport, Rhode Island. She and I were always buddy smokers in the family. This day was always a big celebration for us on a personal level (my birthday in a couple of days too). She had to give up smoking a few years ago but always still enjoyed my 2nd hand smoke. She died in 2005 but I know she would be happy to know I've stopped smoking now too. This is my first July 4th without her AND cigarettes.
