Thanks for the feedback Nancy. I can totally relate. I wish I could just get up & go without worrying about it. I'm the same way about replaying it in my mind over & over & you're right, that's what kills me too. The frustrating thing is that we know that & can't stop doing it. I just told my husband that it is so frustrating, because a year ago I was pretty carefree about getting up & going & I loved new places. Now just the thought of somewhere out of "my comfort zone" can make me anxious. I wonder if I'll always have to challenge myself to do things that I once enjoyed? I also wonder if I'll always rely on Xanax to get me thru anxious situations? Thanks Again!! Chanda

Im sorry you are feeling this way, but I can totally relate..I thought I was the only one who got so anxious when it came time to do something that was planned...I dont know if I can really give you any advice, as I struggle with the same feelings! If something is coming up that I have to go to, what I do is in my mind, I leave myself a way out, but try not to use it when the time comes..I say to myself, I can always cancel, I can say I am not feeling well, etc..Sometimes I do this up until the time to leave comes, and then I just try to up and go without thinking about it...The thinking and playing it over in my mind before it even happens is what kills me..Sometimes I wish I could be like "normal" people..Just make plans and when the day comes, go do it!

Hi everybody, I need some help. My husband has a company banquet thats about 1 1/2 weeks away. I just found out that it's going to be in another city (about 45 minutes away) thats out of my "comfort zone" right now. I'm already getting anxious just thinking about it. Just the way I did when I had the concert a few weeks ago. So what can I do in the next week & 1/2 to help me get through this. I always have my Xanax if needed but when I have to take it I feel like I failed. What can I do to prepare for this so it's not such a challenge when the day comes???? Thanks, Chanda
